Happy New Year

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone! I'm looking forward to a new year. I'm having a great Christmas break with my family. I hope to be back in business by mid January! See you then! :)

Sweet Brother & Sissy

These kids were so cute! We had such a fun time. I'm known their mama & grandmama for a LONG time! In fact, their mommy was my guestbook attendant at my wedding over 12 years ago. Her kids are adorable and full of energy! We finally had to resort to Smartie's as a bribe! I think it worked. And in honor of the big game this weekend... GO BUCKS!

There was some "cousining" going on

Having had wonderful cousins myself...I am quite fond of "cousining" time. Little L brought her cousin O to see me. He was visiting with his mama all the way from Virginia. They were both born on the same day almost one year ago! That is soooo cool! The ornaments were just balls to cousin O. They were all over the place! And little L's daddy was such a sucker for her to dress up as Santa. Enjoy the sneak peek everyone! Scroll down for a couple more!

Little Cousin O was so cute with the his new trick....WALKING! I love his face as we all celebrate his walking! He was quite a happy, pleasant boy. I'm so glad he was with Cousin L.

Family

I have taken these girls' pictures since they were both newborns! Now at 3 and almost 2, you'd think they would be experts at this. Big sis did fine, but little sis just usually has nothing to do with getting her picture taken. I love her response to "Where is your foot?" It's her newest action. The "I don't know" motion. We had a fun evening. Even ate pizza at this session!

I am my own grandpa

Confusing title? Well, these kids are my brother's sister in law's children. She is a good friend of mine and we matched up my brother with her sister. The love bug bit and they are married. So these are his nieces & nephew. Before you know it, we can sing the song "I'm my own grandpa." Is that even a song?? Cute little things! You would never know they were dreading picture day! And, you'd never know that right as I arrived at their beautiful house, it began to sprinkle! You'd also never know that the middle one, pulled a weed out from under me & I screamed thinking that I had sat on a snake! Uncle Eric would appreciate that one!

I'm so proud of these girls. They are such awesome young ladies for Christ. I, too, was a Pastor's kid and know what it can be like. They hand the title wonderfully! Love them!!

Trick or Treat day was awesome! J & I were able to finish up our outdoor session. We were thrilled that there was some color still left on the trees!

A Special Family

I had the privilege to have a session with my pastor's family. Here is the first picture we took! Perfection! We could've ended there!!!!! Ha ha! That would've been to easy on the pastor and the kids!

At Kaylea's first session with me the rain was pouring down at times. So, we had to save the outdoor part of our session for later. The weather cooperated this time & we have tons more beautiful pictures! Here is one for now. Enjoy!

Unhappy Baby

Lilly's mommy & I didn't know if we were going to get some good shots or not! Lilly was just coming from day care and all she wanted was MOMMY!!!! I don't blame her. Her mommy is a pretty nice gal! Anyway, we had patience and ended up getting some good ones. Here's a couple for now. Love the pouty flower face! Lilly is my experimental baby planner. She is about to graduate as she will be turning a year old in December. I will need a new baby to experiment with. So sad my babe is growing up. But! Another New Lexington Senior

I had a lovely evening with another New Lex senior. I've had three seniors from New Lex and they ALL have had red hair! How neat! I love red hair. Anyway, I had fun with "J" and his family. Here's a sneak peek for now.

Sunflower Brats

Boy! This was a tough session.I'll just be honest! These children were very bratty and grouchy! In fact, we had to visit this sunflower field TWICE to get a decent picture. Their mother insisted I get something as she has some sort of dream to hang this over her fireplace in her living room. So we tried at session one. No way! They weren't having it! I went back against better judgement only to find them still grouchy three days later! We did manage to pull of a few shots of them. Enjoy your sneak peek Lori!



Ok, so they are my kids! Why is it that my kids make me have the worst sessions ever! The crying! The temper tantrums! The begging and pleading! And then, there the kid's behavior! They must get their brattiness from their dad! It certainly wouldn't be me!!!!!!!! I LOVE them!

Christmas Deadline

For all those wishing to have portraits taken for Christmas, my deadline for the photo session is November 21st. This will give us plenty of time to get our pictures back in time for Christmas.
